HIGHWAY ROAD

   The year was 2004 where all of the people living on earth was simple, as simple as they could be, no threat to every statement, everyone was flattered to share their opinion to someone, no culture segregation. And so, on the date of 11 10 2004 a loving couple gave birth to their first child ever and they named him “Max”, this baby boy weight about 6,6 lb. and over 1,6 ft. long. This boy is going to faces what the world gives to him and he will learn something from it, he lived in an island country that rich in nature and the color of the flag is white and red, his family is average he didn’t grow up from a rich family nor poor family, his father was worked as a seller...a book seller for that matter but that job went out of business because his father liked to travel to a different locations and left his business alone. His wages going dry and the family are struggling, no wind no nothing an idea struck his head, he’s thinking about getting job at MS Nieuw Amsterdam since he is very good at English speaking and he liked to travel, this would be a great job for him, so the family setting everything up, his passport, his application, etc.

During those time, Max discover a cartoon film that will stuck in his life and that film goes by the name of “Cars”, it’s a Pixar Production film released in 2006  it’s a film about a talking car. This film stuck to his whole life and becomes a daily part of his routines, every morning he would go watch the film over, over, and over again and he also got a Cars t-shirt that he would wear it every single day, but on top of that he discover something out of this movie and that is as English Language. Max started to taking interest in English Languages from that movie, fortunately his dad is great at speaking English, he began learning English from his dad by asking him to translate everything around him to English words piece by piece, the first English word that Max know is “yellow” but he butchered it and said “leow”.....(its first time for everything).

The times flew over and the year is 2007, Freddie (Max’s father) got applied as a waiter at MS Nieuw Amsterdam, he worked there for 10 months a year, soon enough his wages are enough to support his family, the family got out of rough time and move out from grandparents’ house, and now Max live in a suburban neighborhood called Grand Pratama. Not for long, Max meets a group of friends and he introduce himself, fortunately, all of them are very kind and welcoming Max as their friends, this group of friends consisted of 7 people which every one of them has different unique personality and traits.

There’s Aaron, he is a tall-funny guy he always cracking jokes that made members of the group laughing their butt of, there’s Helmiton who is a tough guy, always looking out for trouble, also he always bring up “gangster” vibe to the group and occasionally he is no shame guy like one time when the group playing tag, he doing the pose with his pants off after he got tagged and showing his pink undies, there’s Aquila, he is a mediocre tough guy who act tough only if he’s near Helmiton, when he got into a fight or someone is mad at him and wants to punch his face, he runs like a coward, he is also the most arrogant guy among the group, there is Declan the little brother of Aaron, he is the little gremlin of the group, curious about everything and sometimes causes trouble for the entire group, Rachid is the youngest among them all, the dorkiness of him is making the group feels alive, last but not least is Rehid, he is the third after Helmiton for the funniest guy in the group,he is Max’s closest friend(and Rachid),every Sunday morning, Rehid would go up to Max’s house and play Legos with.

And at this point, Max started elementary school which surprise surprise, his closest friend is in the same school as him, but unfortunately, they were in the different class, Max’s class is labeled “B” while Rehid is “A” which mean they were in the different class, also at this time Max is learning new thing and that is he’s a very shy person, so shy that he won’t make any friends until 3rd grade, what an infantile pillock he is.

Now that Max is in 3rd grade, he found something that quite remarkable, he is developed something strange toward his classmate Angela, he feels something indescribable, he feels like there is a butterfly in his stomach. After he went home after school, he run up to his mom and ask a question about his feelings to Angela, as his mom explain that the feeling he developed is called “Love”. Everything is clear now, Max has crush on Angela but he didn’t want to confess to her because he is an imbecile.

Because he is too afraid ask her out or even confess his feelings, his heart felt like a burning wood that turns into charcoal. Out of the blue, his mother stated that the family are getting a new member.
